We have decided to make our gathered prayer time a little more robust.
Currently, every two weeks we’ll be meeting at Keith and Noreen’s for a Family Feast night.
What happens at Family Feast?
Food. Faith. Father. Fun.
I’ll try to explain these a bit more…
We have a potluck supper. Everyone is asked to bring something to share. We eat a meal together, like the early church did for the first three centuries of our movement.
The saints overcame by the blood of the lamb, and the word of their testimony. Around the table, we don’t talk about the weather or our lives, we talk about God and what He’s doing.
We gather everyone together for a time of Worship of God. We’re learning that as we open ourselves up to each around God stories, we opened ourselves more to God Himself.
Out of worship, we follow what God seems to be leading us to do. It could be studying the Bible. Maybe it will be extended prayer? Perhaps someone will need to be encouraged. Maybe there is a need in our community or nation. The only stipulation is that is useful for all:
So here’s what I want you to do. When you gather for worship, each one of you be prepared with something that will be useful for all: Sing a hymn, teach a lesson, tell a story, lead a prayer, provide an insight. 1 Corinthians 14:26 The Message
Currently, we are meeting twice a month at Keith and Noreen’s. Contact the office if you need an address. We are praying about multiplying this to other homes, other times, other days… If you’re interested in hosting or leading, talk to pastor Trevor.
For now, come to a Family Feast to share. You will be blessed in good measure. Invite your friends. The doors are open.
